Played A Silly Song, The Train Song, Adelaide, Magical Mist, Don't Give Up, Sweet Tangerine, Home, The Walking Dead, Break Me Down, The Other Side, and finished with a particularly raucous version of Hot Damn on request! Felt so good to get out again and do what I love most which is just play, for an audience filled with old friends and fans and lots of new people alike! Inspired to finish some more new tunes for Sing Out of Darkness: A Benefit Concert for the AFSP - Song Angels on April 26th!

Bear and I, Lola and the ponies, helped entertain for a good cause on Saturday! Working directly with local shelters and cosmetology schools, the HOPE Project is committed to taking a holistic and therapeutic approach to re-building the confidence, self-esteem, and overall well being of women who have been abused. The HOPE Project’s purpose is to come from a place of compassion, believing each woman can be empowered from within when given the opportunity with love, care, and the gentle touch that they deserve.

Empowering women is a mission that Boppity Bear and I will continuously champion in every way we can, hopefully more and more so over time! This was a perfect way to kick off 2013, and we'll be performing again for the Hope Project at Juicy Couture on February 8th!
